The Youth Academy Of the Festival of the Atlantic

Music students ages 13 to 19, here is your opportunity to perform with the Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea!

Selected students will perform during the Festival of the Atlantic, in Point Pleasant Beach, on July 28, 2004.

Students will perform with the full orchestra, seated in their respective orchestra sections, under the direction of Father Alphonse Stephenson.

Preparatory classes, taught by members of the orchestra, will be held at Saint Clements Church, in Matawan, on the following dates:

July 22, 23, 26, and 27.

The Academy will conclude at 2:00 PM, on the afternoon of July 27th, with a chamber music concert.

Concert repertoire will include:

Hansel and Gretel

The Moldau

Typical day of classes:

10:00 - full orchestra

11:00 - concert repertoire

12:00 - lunch and recreation

 1:00 - concert repertoire

 2:00 - chamber music groups

 3:00 - end of the Academy day

Transportation to and from the Academy and Point Pleasant Beach is the responsibility of the student.
