THE ORCHESTRA OF ST. PETER BY THE SEA conducted by Father Alphonse Stephenson. The Jersey Shore's favorite orchestral ensemble is back by the most popular of demand. It's another season of absolutely entertaining concerts, conducted by the "must-see Maestro," Father Alphonse Stephenson.
Responding to the great need to foster serious study among young, promising music students, was established in 1987 as a . Over the years, the Foundation has gifted hopeful musicians with throughout the tri-state area. Funded through the sale of recordings by , The Cecelia Foundation continues to touch the lives of talented, young artists.

Father Alphonse Stephenson has conducted the works of countless composers in a wide variety of genres, but it will be a special treat for both the maestro and the audience has he celebrates the works of his favorite composer, Giacomo Puccini. Come celebrate arias from such great operas as La Boheme, Tosca, Madame Butterfly and as well as a few selections from Puccini's contemporaries.
The show will feature the finalists of the New Jersey State Opera vocal competition. The host and narrator will be Edward Perretti, Executive Director of the New Jersey State Opera.
This performance is presented as part of the Victoria J. Mastrobuono Opera Series.
Runtime: Approximately 2 hours with an intermission.

Father Alphonse Stephenson conducts the Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea in a sea-themed concert in a benefit for his Cecelia Foundation. 'By the Sea' will feature Washington, D.C., artist Stephan Silipigni's paintings of water scenes as part of the multi-media show. The Orchestra will play great arrangements of 'water music' such as 'Under the Sea,' 'Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay,' and 'By the Sleepy Lagoon' in addition to Handel's 'Water Music,' Strauss' 'Blue Danube' and Smetana's 'Moldau.' Select students will be chosen to play with the orchestra. This concert is a benefit for Father Alphonse's Cecelia Foundation, which gives scholarships and professional instruments to deserving music students throughout New Jersey.
